Overview

Screen_Shot_2019-05-15_at_7.48.06_PM.png Timecode transforms any text layer into a project or layer timecode.

Timecode, when applied to a text layer, clears any text in the layer, and replaces it with a timecode. Although the original text is completely overwritten, the text can after be still modified as normal.

Timecode has the following settings:

Relative displays the timecode for the layer while On, and the timecode for the project while Off. The default setting is Off.

Frames displays the timecode in minutes, seconds, and frames while On, and in minutes, seconds, and fractions of a second while Off.

Notes

Monospace Fonts

It's recommended to use a monospace font with Timecode, to avoid seeing the jittery movement shown with regular proportional fonts. Every character in a monospace fonts have the same width, creating a uniform look. They typically have "Mono" in their name.
